The movie would have been the second movie made in that class.  The first were the odysseous projects, and they were not that good.  The first, first one was done with no editing system.  Just VCR, very hard to do considering there was a lot of talking...

When this project caim along, me and max had just scene the matrix reloaded and loved it...  So we got the idea to combine the two together, and what we got was amazing.

First Max and me had a sword fight that used different things to fight with, like a guterpipe, and just swung at each other...  When I lost my sword, I did an awesome cartwheel to get to it while Max slashed at me.  That was fast when done in real time, but when slowed down, it was great.  After a while of sword fighting, Max and me took it to the roof, we did this by jumping off the roof but in reverse mode.  We walked like we were stumbling backwards.   Then we jumped off the roof, except that max had to jump off backwards.  He did this by pretending that he was stepping on a barrel.  To put it together, I reverseed it on the editing system, it worked great...

A Public Place is an action slash drama.  It's a scene in Romeo and Juliet where Mercutio and Tybalt become angry with each other and fight...  Tybalt kills Mercutio when Romeo gets in the way.  In avenging Mercutio, Romeo challenges Tybalt.  In a bralling fight, using Matrix moves, Romeo finally defeats Tybalt on the top of a barn...

Though this film was originally a school project for the shakespear section in english, it soon became the best 20 minute video we had.  The effects even bewildered us as we watched it!!!  We didn't use wire frames, even though that was thought about, just a lot of planning and practice.  The first day of filming was the sword fights between Romeo and Tybalt.  With only two people (the actors, Max and I) we filmed in my barnyard.  On the second day we had all the people come over and we filmed the rest of the sword fight.  The part where we jumped on the top of a old cow barn, there we mostly did hand to hand combat.  We also did the talking scenes and Mercutio and Tybalt's fight, that was short...

The songs in A Public Place, were limited.  There were only about four.  They fit very nicely and made the video very good.  There were few when I was making it that said the song Get Busy was too sexual but I put it in anyways, and it was a hit...  It was right after it came out, almost no one had heard it more than once.

For editing, I was using the old system that A.S.A.P. Films started out on.  It was ArcSoft Showbiz.  After Prussia Project I was pretty familar with the program.  Not that the program takes that long but I knew the quick secrets.  Little did I know, this would be the last project edit using ArcSoft I did the best job I could.  There is talk of redoing A Public Place but since it is such a classic, one of the founding videos, I dont think so.  Even though with Adobe it would come out hundreds of times better, this videos, though poorly edited really showed us that video can be done at home.  It really showed me that we could do something original and good.
