The biggest obstacle for low-to-no budget film makers is getting started. It's possible to be a no cost Filmer, but the initial expenses (camera, computer, tapes, etc...) are what shut down begginers. The equipment we use isn't top line, 4000 dollar stuff but it still took quite a bit of money from my piggy bank. The Truth is, this stuff is pricey. Sure, it's going down as technology improves. Still, I would make sure you have the interest before you plunge into a new camera or computer.
