| Story |
The movie starts right before the French Revolution, Austria decides to give Prussia it's own king, they decide on Fredrick, naming him king Fredrick... Once king he settles the despute with the Junkers, giving them option to have land if they are loyal to him. Then he goes on to killing his sons gay lover. But when Austria begins to threaten him he recruits tall people to be in his army. Then there is a war ending the suffering of the Prussian people for the Austrians win...
This movie was a project for James, who was in global studies. He asked me if I could make a movie for his class, with his help naturally... I said ya, so we had two or three film parties and got it done, the quickness of it all was what also contributed to the funniness of it all. It was a good funny project that most all the parents loved...
This project was edited with the old ArcSoft system which I was fairly new at, I had edited Finding Philup but thats about it... I was suprized at this project, it came out a lot better then I thought it would, some rave that it is the funniest thing we've ever done, mostly parents, but I disagree... However, I feel that it was a good step in comedy. Prussia Project is one of the founding Fathers of A.S.A.P. Films, I wasnt sure what I was doing with the camera but after this and A Public Place I had a good idea...
The civilization of Prussia was ruled by Austria, until the once king crowned Frederick, the king... But the king had a son that was gay. So the king decided to kill the gay son's lover. In the mean time the king meets with the Junkers to settle their despute. Realizing that he might go to war with Austria, his once friend, he decides to recruit tall men to be in his army. It goes in to a very sad (very, very sad) story about a child gettting recruited... Then the war happens and many die, even the reporter, very sad tragic story...
The songs used in the movie, were not new hip songs, just songs that fit the part. Like when the axe-man was going to cut the head off of the gay lover and was being held back by the gay prince, I played "boy I cant get you outta my head." That fit cause he was gay, losing his head, and couldn't get him out of his head... It was good, we didn't use to many songs, maybe like six or seven, good number for a 30 minute video.
As for effects, well besides ArcSofts "Cover Story" matte there wasnt too much...
